管材外部的花型是由模具决定的，压花机的模具由个模具组成，模具卡在机体卡槽内，内部由4块楔形铁镶嵌，电机转动后，带动模具在管材周围转动，液压装置驱动楔形铁卡住模具向管材表面进行挤压，压铸成型后，楔形铁后退，在离心作用下，模具松开，管材在空隙中向前推进进行下一轮挤压。
